OK, am officially claiming the two horses, one black, one white, covered in blood and running through London yesterday, for us horror writers! I may incorporate it in my London horror ‘Watch All Night’. I love true elements in horror novels, and WAN is already grounded in true London history.

Hah, I just saw this report. A great image and so many questions around it. Best of luck with the writing possibilities – what a unique prompt!

I’ve just seen that. It’ looked truly horrific. I have questions about why this happened, but whatever. I hope those horses and the injured people are okay now.

Tbh, I’m scared to look at what’s happened with the horses. I am divorcing the reality from the horror visual…

Thank goodness there weren’t two more or all of the apocalyptic horror writers would be clambering over each other to claim the incident for their own stories.

(PS – I read that the horses were injured but expected to recover and be ‘retired’. The person who seems to have come off worse is the cyclist who couldn’t get out of the way quick enough. Having had to take evasive action to avoid a poorly controlled horse whilst out cycling in Sussex, I have a great deal of sympathy).
