    ISBNs for e-books

    Hi from a newbie to Jericho! I am having to republish three novels that I’ve just got the rights back for under a new imprint on Amazon, and am wondering how essential it is to register ISBNs for the kindle versions. I have them for the paperback editions, but given the price of ISBN numbers these days, and the fact that Amazon will publish the e-books without one, how necessary is it? And, can an ISBN be added later if I decide not to and then change my mind?
